In the House, the Environmental and Natural Resource Protection Committee reported it on October 7 with a request to re-refer, and it went to the Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee the same day. Needs House passage and the governor's signature.
As passed by the Senate, manufacturers could not make or knowingly sell Class B foam with intentionally added PFAS from July 1, 2027, no one could use it from January 1, 2028 except where federal law requires it or at exempt facilities such as airports and refineries, and firefighter gear would carry a PFAS warning label 180 days after enactment.
