How it defines PFAS
Ethvert stof, der indeholder mindst ét fuldt fluoreret methyl- (CF3) eller methylen- (CF2) kulstofatom, uden nogen hydrogen-, klor-, brom- eller iod-atomer bundet til sig
Exemptions
- Second-hand (reused) clothing and footwear
- Recycling of clothing or footwear
- PPE under Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Annex I risk category III (a) or (c)
- PPE where the PFAS content serves a safety function for the consumer
- Waterproofing agents for re-proofing such PPE
- Medical devices
- Goods in transit
- Case-by-case dispensation by Miljøstyrelsen
Penalties. Fines; up to 2 years' imprisonment for intentional or grossly negligent breaches that harm health or the environment or seek economic gain; companies can be held liable (§ 5).
